Jefferson was a very influential person. He was an outstanding President becuase he wrote the basis of our country. He knew what America should be, he wanted it to be United. Many people started to like him when he made the Louisana Purchase in 1803. A year later he swept the 1804 election. By the end of his presidency Northerners started to accept Jefferson.
